VOTING

I voted this past Tuesday. The primary was held, so Rae and I drove over to our polling station and cast our votes. It never fails to amaze me how much people agonize over which president to vote for, but they don't know who is sitting on their local city council or who is representing them in congress.

Those people dictate how our day to day lives will be affected much more than the President. So we studied our choices for the House and the Senate. We took the time to vote. We've already voted to keep our city zoo. Whatever happens in November, at least we know our vote directly affected our children and we were on the winning side of one issue at least. I'll take it.

This comment has nothing to do with your post...

I stumbled upon your blog through advertising on entrecard (see, it does "pay")

I just wanted to say I love your dogs. I had two, Sergei a purebred husky and Yasha a husky/wolf mix.

They are a great breed and you're two (as they call them) furbabies are beauties!

;-)
