I walked into the kitchen today because I smelled something good coming from that general direction. I meandered over to the stove to see a stew sitting there half eaten. I didn't know we were having dinner because nobody had called me upstairs from my man cave.I don't generally eat stew, especially when it has biscuits baked on top of it, but today I felt pretty hungry, so I put some on a plate. I walked into the living room with the plate and a mouth full of food. Rae was sitting there. She looked up and haltingly asked me what I was eating.
Stew, I said, trying to chew and talk at the same time.
"Oh John. The dog got into that when it was on the stove. I was letting it cool down before I gave her the rest of it."
